Over the last two weekends, a lot of outstanding cricket has been played. A total of 8 teams have participated in this inaugural Chargers Cup 2008 Tournament.
In a total of 7 knock-out matches including the final, more than 1200 deliveries have been bowled, 840 runs have been scored, some exciting sixes have been hit, some beautiful deliveries have been bowled and some exceptional catches have been taken. Overall it has been a phenomenal two weeks of cricket. The best two teams of the tournament played the final on Sunday, July 27 2008 and the winners and runner-ups deserved their places as both the teams registered two highest scores of the series.

An excellent first day at OMCC Chargers Cup 2008 witnessed some tight finish matches. Beltway Blazers (Citi team) won the first match in a nail biting finish followed by OMCC Chargers winning convincingly in a low score second match.

Now the attention turns to Group B where UMB Bayonets fight against PII on Sunday morning followed by CCC vs Ferocious11. Both the matches promises to bring some exciting cricket. What else you need on a Sunday?

- Murari (Cric-Iters) took an amazing catch in the mid-off against Beltway Blazers

Raj (CCC Kings) bowled with amazing line and length to restrict Ferocious11. He bowled 3 overs and took 2 wickets for just 5 runs.

Rohit (Ferocious11) bowled superb and gave away just 7 runs in 4 overs and picked up 2 wickets.
Best Batting Figures:
- Isira (CCC Kings) scored 20 against Ferocious11 which proved to be very crucial innings.
- Raj (CCC Kings) scored a solid 19 against Ferocious11.
- Nirav (Ferocious11) played a late cameo to score 19 against CCC Kings and almost took the game away from CCC Kings but at the end it was still not enough.
Best Catches:
- Johny (CCC Kings) took a stunning catch in the slips to dismiss Srinivas (Ferocious11)
- Srinivas took a good catch against CCC Kings in the first slip.
